How long will it take?
Twelve to sixteen weeks is typical for a freehold purchase in a chain. Leasehold takes longer because the management pack sits with a third party. We will tell you where the delay actually is rather than saying 'we're waiting on the other side'.
Why is your quote higher than the one I got online?
Often it is not, once the extras are added in. Compare the total including searches, bank transfer fees, leasehold supplements and the 'expedition fee' some firms add. Ours is one number with everything itemised beneath it.
Will I get the same person throughout?
Yes. A named conveyancer with a direct line, and a named assistant who knows your file when they are on leave.
