Is a cheap online will good enough?
Sometimes, for a genuinely simple estate. The trouble is that the situations where it goes wrong — second marriages, children from an earlier relationship, a business, a property abroad — are exactly the ones that look simple to a form. A £195 will drafted properly has saved a great many families far more than that.
How long does probate take?
A straightforward estate is typically six to nine months. Property to sell, inheritance tax to settle or assets to trace will extend it. We will give you a realistic timetable at the start rather than an optimistic one.
What does probate cost?
We quote a fixed fee based on the estate rather than a percentage of it, which is how a number of firms charge and is usually a great deal more expensive.
