When is a pet 'senior'?

Around seven for most dogs and cats, earlier for giant breeds. It is not an age to dread — it is the age where twice-yearly screening starts genuinely changing outcomes.

My dog is just slowing down with age, isn't he?

Very often that is arthritis, and arthritis is treatable. 'Slowing down' is the single most under-treated thing we see in older dogs, and the change after a month on the right plan surprises most owners.

Will you tell us when it's time?

We will, honestly and without pressure, and we will give you the quality-of-life framework we use so it is a decision you make with information rather than in a fog. We also offer home visits for euthanasia.
